Mrs Hannah Awadzi

Mrs Hannah Awadzi is a Communications Professional and a practicing Journalist, She is currently the online editor at the Ghana News Agency.

Hannah is also the Executive Director of an Advocacy Programme called The Special Mothers Project.
The Special Mothers Project advocates and creates awareness about cerebral palsy issues and issues affecting families raising children with Special Needs.
Hannah’s interest includes contributing to policy discussions to enhance policy formulation with regards to children with cerebral palsy and other special needs
Hannah has made significant contributions to important laws such as the Disability Act and the Early Childhood Care and Development Policy
One of her passion for advocacy is to see the full implementation of Ghana’s Inclusive Education Policy.

Mrs Awadzi is also a Registered Psychologist Assistant with the Ghana Psychological Council and enjoys counseling families especially mothers raising or nurturing children with Cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

Mrs Awadzi is married with three children, her first child (a girl) has cerebral palsy. She is an author and has authored two books: The Unexpected and Near Divorce.

Hannah has a Master’s degree in Contemporary English Studies from the University of Ghana, she also holds a degree in psychology with Linguistics from the same university as well as a Diploma in Mass Communication from the Ghana Institute of Journalism
